My Story

I have been working in corporate for many years since graduating from the university.

The only time I remember having a break was when I went on maternity leave for three months with my first child and six months with my second.

As a mother, I strongly felt I should be at home looking after my children, but the reality was different.

This option was denied to me as I had no choice but to return to work and provide for myself and a young family.

I juggled motherhood and work for many years as many mothers in a similar situation will do.

There came a point in my life when I questioned everything about my lifestyle.

I worked very hard, yet the money disappeared so quickly, at the end of the month I was always broke.

I did not by any means live beyond my ability.

Just made enough to pay the bills, taking care of my responsibilities and support my family.

I worked long hours and hardly saw much of my family.

My eldest daughter once complained to me and said mum all you do is work’, you can imagine how hurtful that felt when she said it.

I had to swallow it, she was right in a way, but I had no alternative to give her that I will be home early from now on. I broke so many promises before.

The commute to work was a nightmare as I had to make use of public transport. When it was good, life was easier but increasingly it got worse over the years.

I could write a whole book about the miseries my fellow commuters and I faced daily.

You never quite know what to expect when you arrive at the train station or how your day will end.

You just have to take it as it comes. By the way, I was doing this for more than 14 years.

To cut a long story short, I began to look for ways to make extra money to improve my financial situation and quality of life.

I also worked on Saturdays whenever I got the opportunity.

This made me realize it was not sustainable in the long run as it left me with little time for myself and my family.

It was better to struggle for the time being and hustle.

Put a plan in place which will offer me the kind of life I desperately desired to have financial independence and better quality time to enjoy with family.

The most precious commodity we all have after our ability to breathe, loved ones, sanity and sound health is ‘time’ and once it’s gone we can’t bring it back.

I found myself years were passing me by, getting older but my life remained unfulfilled.

My Turning Point

I knew something had to change.

What I wanted could be achieved If I either work for myself, win the lottery which is unlikely as I don’t do the lottery or inherit lots of money.

I started to explore the possibility of embarking into the world of entrepreneurship though I had no prior knowledge of running any business be it offline or online.

It was a bit of a gamble and made lots of horrendous entrepreneurial mistakes along the way, but the failures and setbacks did not deter me from pursuing my dreams and goals.

I am not joking when I say I failed many times.

I took the biggest business mistakes and the failures I stupidly made as part of the process of becoming successful.

Fortunately for you today you don’t have to go through what I went through.

I have written this helpful GUIDE to help aspiring and struggling entrepreneurs navigate the very same issues I experienced in my entrepreneurial journey.

The most important lesson I learned was never to quit and despair when things don’t go according to plan and I am faced with difficult challenges.

I heard this phrase from somewhere ‘Quitters are Losers and Winners Never Quit’.

After doing extensive research I chose to start an internet business as it resonated with me better given my circumstances.

This was the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey.

Since starting I have never looked back and the rest, as they say, is history.

I have also been exposed to the world of software development, e-commerce and, digital marketing.

I continue to explore more opportunities in my journey.
